Champion Olympics

Okay, so the Champion Olympics have been underway, and until yesterday, I've been a sidelines kinda person.

But then!

Steve was into the Save the Squishy event yesterday and asked me to run Syn with Vanguarde for his first run through. (Your first pair-up gets to run a second time, and beyond that, all pair-ups are only good to go once.) And though we did not win by any stretch of the imagination as fellow Pingus Drizz and Vince proceeded to break the event later on in the evening, I'm damn proud of our time.

See...here was the deal. One blaster and one defender vs. Tyrant. Blaster has to hold aggro the entire time. Tier 1 inspirations only, no fear or rain effects that would de-aggro the AV from the blaster. Originally, it was going to be ten minute max, but after a couple of pairs (also Pingus, if I remember correctly) hit that mark, CC decided to let pairs run for as long as they could.

So, the time I'm really proud of? 7 minutes, 10 seconds.

The ungodly time Drizz and Vince posted? 32 minutes.

We sat there watching with mouths agape.

My only regret about yesterday is that I'd have really liked to have seen what Spark and Psychadelic Balm could've pulled in the lower level bracket after watching Steve's Voltronic paired with an emp damn near kill the AV they were up against. No joke. He had to actually stop using build up or aim to keep from dropping the AV's health too low. It was awesome!
