More Fall Premieres (from the crazy chick)

Beauty and the Geek? Get outta town. Blecch.

Back to You had a kinda wobbly start, but by the end of the first ep, you get the feeling it's going to be better than first impressions. Don't know if it'll last that long, though.

Ever since we saw the first commercial for Kid Nation, we were interested in it. In a way, it didn't disappoint. The over-protective mom in me screams at the screen, though. The premise involves putting a group of kids in a frontier town and giving them the task of making the town work. They're in teams, and there's this social structure, yadda yadda, and I just... Okay, I like it. I really do. I'm picky about reality shows, and often, I just tune them out, but there was one a while back on PBS where a family was put on a ranch and had to live like people did in the period it was supposed to be from (around the 1800s, iirc). It was damned hard, and even with the differences in this show, I'm still squirming a bit watching 8-year-olds cook over the iron stove-amajobby. I liked it, but I also cried for the kids who were homesick and the kid who wanted to go home. Yeah, yeah. I'm a sap. :P

I gotta tell you, I loved 'Til Death last year, and I am looking forward to it this season. Brad Garrett is the shining jewel in an excellent cast. It's a silly show that is a lot of fun to watch. It's not just the comparison between two different stages of marriage, it's about the differences between the sexes as well. Makes me laugh. :)

Okay, I actually taped Gossip Girl when it premiered and watched it a few days ago. I'm mixed about it. Looks a bit predictable, but I like the lead character played by Blake Lively. Or maybe I just like the actress. Dunno.

I have a guilty confession to share. I actually like Gordon Ramsey. I didn't watch his other show really. Caught a few minutes here and there, and...eh. Few reality shows ever get much more than a glance from me normally. But, godhelpme, I liked Kitchen Nightmares. It's like..."Superman saves the restraunt".

Just say no to Survivor, and I have no interest in Online Nation. The cartoons on Fox Sunday nights are fun, but I get enough of them in syndication, so I pretty much 'meh' them. I also skipped Cold Case and Shark, though Steve tells me the latter is excellent.
