I feel like I fell victim to the advertising hype that surrounded NBC's Bionic Woman. I really hope that's not the case, but the premeire episode was disappointing. It seemed like they were trying to cram too much into one episode, throwing out a hastily given explanation that didn't fit the dialogue here and another 'hook' to get you interested there, all with a sense of chaos that left you wondering what the point of it all is. It's like someone was trying too hard. There really wasn't nearly enough opportunity to get to know any of the characters well enough to know if I liked them.
All in all, I hope to see some better establishment of characters and storylines in the coming weeks, because I really had high hopes for this show.
As for the oddly quirky lead character of Life, played by Damian Lewis, I'm...unsure. It wasn't a bad show, but I'm not clear on whether it's a good fit for me. It's like...liking a character...but not being sure you want to tune in every week to see what happens to him.
Still need to go back and watch what I've taped. I'll get back to you on that stuff laters. :)
