What's going on?

Thought a little update would be in order here.

Figured it would be fitting to start with my brother since today's his birthday! Joey's got a job where my dad works, and he starts on Monday. Hooray for answered prayer! He's been having a really hard time being separated from Kim and the kids, but they were finally able to arrange bus tickets, so we'll be playing with babies by the end of the week! So much happy in all of this, my heart could burst!

And us?

Well, it's kinda tough this week while Steve's between job assignments. We're hoping to get him working again by Monday, though! Mike's taking his last vacation week of the year for next week in order to make this whole surgery thing a little easier to accomodate. We're discussing furniture rearranging and all the little stuff we can think of to make recovery time at least a little more comfortable and doable. It's weird all the little things you get up to do during the day, and when you think about not being able to do them for a couple of months, it's a little daunting. (Okay, a lot daunting.:P)

Caedyn's doing alright. I'd be happier if I could be certain that he was getting all his work done and turned in, as we seem to be having some issues in that department with one of his classes. I spoke to the teacher, though, and I've got some clearer ideas on how to help (or at least a direction in which nag him to death).
