My insurance company and I are going to have to have a serious parting of the ways once the ankle matter is done...
After nearly two months, I FINALLY got my referral for the physical therapy I can only afford one visit of (because PT is considered specialist treatment which has a stupid high co-pay that they'd like me to pay for each of the 3 visits a week for 6 weeks).
Why go to only one visit? Well, according to the surgeon's office (who referred me in the first place), when you go to your first visit, instructions for a home program is written for you. They'd like me to work the home program for 6 weeks before my next appointment - which happens to be 2 days BEFORE my PT appointment.
With my luck, my referral for the surgeon will have expired before my rescheduled appointment with his office, and I'll be waiting on yet another one from my insurance company, which I'd like to see totally collapse inward on itself in a black hole that opened up in the brain of the person who wrote this stupid policy in the first place.
*deep cleansing sigh*
Okay, I feel better now.
