Movie time!

So, on Saturday, Caedyn and I got treated to "Horton Hears a Who", and it was fantastic. This was our favorite Dr. Suess book when he was little, and we read it over and over, so I kept watching with a critical eye for them to 'screw it up'. While they added a bit, fleshed out the smaller bits, and gave Whoville more of a spotlight than they got in the book, the movie kept true to the heart of the story right down to the littlest voice producing the "YOP!" that put the sound over the top to save them all. And just like back when I read the story, I teared up like a sappy girl at the end. "A person's a person, no matter how small." has always been on of my most favorite sentences to read.

What I really want to see next, is WALL•E, which looks to be way too much fun, and Pixar has never disappointed. :)

Dr. Seuss is classic; after seeing Horton Hears a Who i was reminded how much that guy can pack into a simple storyline... they didn't add much to the original story either except for the usual Jim Carreyisms.
