Heard during our viewing of Sweeney Todd last night (amidst various peels of laughter that were probably way too loud):
"Ooh! Alan Rickman!"
"Who?"
"Snape."
"Bellatrix Lestrange."
"And Wormy. This is like a Harry Potter reunion."
"OHMYGOD, THAT'S GILES! GILES IS IN SWEENEY TODD!!!"
*giggling* "This is insane!"
And that's just a few snippets.
It was great, though. Depp was his usual brilliant, submersing himself in his role to the point where he disappears and the character is all that you see. There's something really appealing in the dark humor of the movie, and Tim Burton was the perfect person to bring it to the screen. I had high expectations for the movie, and I'm happy to say they were well exceeded. The casting was perfect.
