Years ago, as a wee impressionable child in high school, I went through a period where I think I saw the show on Broadway about three or four times. My friend Katie and I were huge geeks about it -- started a faux little "I Support Erik" club (which, if you knew the book as well as we knew the book, was the Phantom's true name), used to write our own versions of the story, draw litte cartoons, compare the relative talents of the Phantoms we saw... the whole shebang.
And then I went to see the movie, and thought they castrated the Phantom. I enjoyed it, but was disappointed. I guess it didn't live up to my teenage enthusiasm for the show.

Yep, saw when it traveled to Denver years ago.
It was a fun show, and I was amazed at all the things that the did in the show.
Some good music, and it was worth the money.
Great story. I've seen it twice on stage and performed in it once.
Love that shiznite.
Judging from my reaction to the movie, seeing it live might cause actual physical harm. :P

Ah, you're right, Avocet. I died the day I got married, and romance, sex, and love were no longer needed in my life. :P
