I predict...

Okay, so we generally watch the American Idol auditions, cuz, you know, fun to watch Simon rag on the weirdos who actually somehow convince themselves that they can sing. My opinion on the whole blow up over the judges' comments to applicants in recent weeks is that, if you've seen this show at all, you should walk in expecting to hear some harsh criticism. I mean, seriously, it's funny enough to watch the audition, but to then watch someone actually get surprised at being told they're bad or look strange or any other possibly offensive thing? That's -really- funny! (Like the girl who swore that if they'd just overlook her inability to sing, they could see that she's the next American Idol.)

I've made it past the audition process twice before in keeping up with the show...

Season 3, when Jon Peter Lewis walked into auditions "looking like a pen salesman" according to Simon Cowell and made it to the top 12...



And season 4, for Bo Bice, who went all the way to the top 2...



And this year, before the auditions are even done, I have a new favorite...
