If you're looking for something to watch tonight...

First off, let me preface this with one statement: I'm not a Vin Diesel fan. Honestly. No interest in the guy at all.

But...

During a trip to the video store a while back, Caedyn's pick was a movie that Disney had put out called "The Pacifier" staring Vin Diesel, so inevitably, I ended up seeing it. It's very cute with little tidbits like this...



At the time, I said something like "Well, it's cute, but I'd never actually pay money for it."

Of course, we did. Fifty-eight cents. You see, it was right after Blockbuster did that massive campaign about doing away with late fees, and their new thing was putting a little price on your reciept that you could pay (beyond the rental charge you'd already paid) if you wanted to "keep" a movie you'd rented. I'd picked up a movie I wanted to own during the same trip, discovered this nifty little feature that allowed me to keep it for a reasonable price like nine bucks or whatever, and in reviewing the entire receipt, it turned out that the Pacifier's "keep" price was fifty-eight cents.

This worked out for me in two ways: It made Caedyn happy, and I got to keep the movie without admitting how much I'd really enjoyed it. :P

The script isn't innovative or fresh. The concept is in no way new or exciting. It's not a blockbuster kinda movie. But the damn thing is just so adorable, and the actors involved turn in some very funny performances; the most notable of which is Brad Garrett's hilarious over-the-top wrestling coach.

I mention all of this, because "The Pacifier" will be on ABC tonight, and if you haven't seen it and are not really the type (like me) to go out of your way to rent a Vin Diesel flick, it's the best way to give it a look-see as there doesn't seem to be anything else on that's worth giving attention to.

If you like it, you're welcome, and if you don't...well, you didn't waste any money on it. :P
