I promised good news, and here it is!
After what amounts to more than a year of jub hunting, Steve is at work today! Not only that, but it's in the electrical field, which is something of a surprise considering the economy down here. It's through a temp agency specializing in trade work, and we're incredibly grateful in so many ways that this looks like it will work out.
Now, I just need to survive the commute to pick him up in the afternoons. :)
