As I was chuckling over this exchange in emails:
Friend: "Topping off my annoying week is my car is playing up for no apparent reason. Damn things not even 7 years old. French cars. Never buy one babe, statistically some of the most unreliable motors around are french. My one is going as soon as i can get rid of it."
Me: "What do the French even KNOW about making cars? :P "
This little voice in the back of my head says:
