It was beautiful! The weather's been nice and mild lately, and the breeze off the beach was downright chilly last night. We found our hotel and checked in, then went for a walk as the sun was setting. The hotel itself was one of those very old buildings along Miami Beach that seems to have been there forever, and it was all art deco peaches and greens. The plumbing left a little to be desired, but at least it was a little newer than dirt, and we were pretty sure the elevator was haunted (it kept going up to the 6th and 7th floor even though no one was up there and no one had pushed the buttons for those floors!), and we totally fell in love with it!

And the room! See up there above the Days Inn sign where the windows are open on the corner of the building? That was our room! And the view! OMG!

Right out onto the beach! You could just lay in bed and smell the ocean!
Oh yeah? Did I mention the bed? The huge, beautiful, oh-so-comfy bed?

Okay, yeah, so the room was perfect. The view was perfect. And dinner!
Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictures of the little restaraunt downstairs. We only had our cells on us, and it was a little dark out. They had a little terrace with oil lamps on the tables for outdoor dining, and our timing couldn't have been more perfect, because there was only one other patron sitting out there. The restaraunt was named Parrilla 75, and it was an Argentinian steakhouse. Everything was grilled to order, and it was so delicious! Right down to the oh-so-sinfully-good caramel crepes we took to go for dessert and ate in the room.
All in all, it was a perfect, beautiful evening, and a wonderful little second honeymoon!
