Character Updates

Dark Scorpia
(Level 47 and holding)

Amidst the rushing hither, thither, and yon for the Hess TF last night, Scorp finally told HT that she's been having nightmares again and not sleeping much. She's even woken up with bruises from things that happened in a couple of the dreams.

She took some of his concerned replies as suggestions that she might be coming unhinged, and this...went badly. He pummelled her with questions, and her responses were angry, because she doesn't know what's going on anymore than anyone else, and it's her that it's happening to.

After, Sabrina focused on Noelle, wanting to help her through the tough time she's having with Kid's death. She talked her into coming home with them so she wouldn't be alone, hoping that she could at least give her a little comfort.

Midnite Tempest
(Level 24)

Dierdre (clone Raene, not real Raene - do please keep up :P) met with the leader of Midnite Tempest's supergroup last night. When she explained that she was a clone, Mr. Thorne's reaction was surprising. He was suspicious. He was insightful. He was...helpful? In the extreme. If poor Dierdre didn't have reason to suspect the world at large of every ulterior motive in the book, she'd have felt like she finally had a friend. She did, however, walk away feeling like she had an ally. He gave her a place to stay and some direction, as well as agreed to allow her to work under Raene's hero registration and speak to Epitaph regarding the danger he is obviously in from who ever orchestrated her creation in the first place. For the time being, she'll be assuming Raene's identity for her own safety's sake, but she hopes to one day be able to be herself - whoever that turns out to be.

Then, she spoke with Star Breaker, because he'd called her...clone girl...on Raene's com. She asked him what he knew and found out what happened with the real Raene. They spoke for a while as she worked her way through a few missions, and she allowed him to declare himself help, though she still doesn't really trust him. She figures that he's big enough to make good on his promise to protect her from anyone that might come after her at least and some of his 'creep factor' went away when he explained how his origin (he's from another dimension) predisposed him to having to look at familiar faces that belonged to very different people. She doesn't really think most people will be so understanding once the truth gets out.

Game notes:

I wrapped up a contact for her, but still haven't hit 25, and I really didn't want to take on another 20-24 contact. So, we hit Siren's Call and ran a few of the missions there - basically 'defeat all's, most of which have badges! It was actually a lot of fun. I hadn't really seen myself going to any of the PVP zones for anything other than rp between heroes and villains, but I guess I'll have to change my mind a little now.

I did, of course, get smacked around by a couple of stalkers, but no debt, so it mostly made me laugh. Teleport foe is wicked scary in their hands, lemme tell you. :P

P-SB and I got to talking about how nice it is to run a defender with a tank (so she doesn't die every 20 minutes), and we decided to give duo'ing Sister Psyche a shot tonight. Hopefully, I'll ding at least a level (maybe two?) and get the chance for a little interaction on the coms. :)

So, that's my first character update. How'd I do?

Glad to get some time with Scorpia, even if both our characters were not their usual selves last night.

Me too, Kt. Gotta get those girls together more often. :)

I should've said something else about P-Psi-clone.

This was a fun scene for me. Always happy to rp with someone from the Boulder crowd, and he really rocked. I went back and read the scene over today, and I remember at the time really getting a sense of Graham pacing and muttering as he worked the details out. It was great. :)
