Paranoia will destroy ya

So, I've been reading a reccurring theme in other blogs lately where the writer has referred to someone's idea that something they wrote about might possibly have something to do with them. So, I thought I'd share a few thoughts about this subject.

In the past, when I've actually cared if something I read in a blog was about me, I did something that is apparently totally radical: I asked the writer. I realize this is unthinkable to most, because the asker has to accept the idea that the world might not revolve around them when they get the answer.

In order to facilitate your need to believe that you are the center of the universe, let me assure you that if I've written something in my blog, and you think it may be about you, but don't ask me personally to clarify, then it is most definitely about you. Not only that, but I am filled with utter hatred about you and never want to share ice creams with you in the local Dairy Queen again. Also, we never walked on the moon, and Elvis isn't dead, and the government really is out to get you.

Oh...and if you believe this particular entry is about you, you're right. Act accordingly.

I thought the next line was "You ain't going crazy it's all in your head?"

Well, it is, but I wrote it that way, looked at it, then thought it might read confusing in context.

I'm certainly glad we've gotten all that settled.

I didn't think this was about me at first.

But now that I read it again...

... oh crap ...

... I'm really, really sorry Lela! I'm sorry for everything! All of it!

And well you should be! Let that be a lesson to you! :P

Okay, I think we've officially enjoyed this bit of sarcasm too much... :)

And I always liked Cold Stone more than Dairy Queen anyway.

Perfect for when you visit - we have one less than ten minutes from our house. And I'll share ice cream with you anyday. :)
