After the last Double XP weekend's little hiccups, I thought I'd go ahead and put up a reminder or two for those of you who will be shunning sleep in favor of XP goodness.
Don't forget the most important rules of interacting in text on the internet:
1. It isn't always about YOU.
2. There is no emotion in text, so if you read it into someone else's text, it's your issue, not theirs, if you can't ask for clarification.
And for those of you in the clique channel, channel rules are posted in the motd:
1. Don't take anything said seriously or personally. (See rules of interacting in text, and get a sense of humor.)
2. If you have a problem with someone else, take it out of the channel. (Either work it out with them in tells or put them on ignore. Just remember that I don't want to see it.)
3. I reserve the right to kick you from the channel without reason (though the only time I've excersized this rule seriously, I did provide a reason).
And as for teaming? I've talked a little about that here, so I'll just remind you that we're all here to have a good time.
Good luck, and happy Double XP's!

I humbly offer a rebuttal to your points:
1. Nope. Wrong. It is. If there is anything not about me, I order you to hunt it down and execute it for treason.
2. There is so emotion in text. Allow me to demonstrate. 1.) If someone doesn't read English well, it may be NECESSARY TO SPEAK LOUDLY SO THEY MAY UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE SAYING. TYPING IN ALL CAPS IS ALSO A WONDERFUL WAY BOTH TO MAKE A POINT AND TO WIN AN ARGUMENT. 2.) If you post in a font color that is the same as the background, it's like being emo. Alone. In a dark room. Please hold me. So. Alone. 3.) Adding clever ASCII characters can convey emotion. For example; o_0 or ^.^ or >_< or \''/ \''/.
4.) If you have read this far, and have taken any of this seriously, please step away from the computer. It is time for you to take a nice walk outside. The scary things won't bite you, I promise. (For further information, see rule #1 for the Clique Channel.)
In service,

OMG! I love you, Bowser!!!
Drahmah? No? Peut-etre? I am nearly tempted to come out of the cave. But not tempted enough.
Ooh lookit, I can login using my LJ name now. Nifty.
May I just say that I find it hilarious that the two people who've commented to this are people who won't even be on this weekend.
Damn, I miss ya, C! *hugs*
