"God's got us covered."

Okay, as though there needed to be something to make me eat my negative words yesterday, something amazing happened that I have to talk about now.

Things here have been very very bad. There's been this dark cloud hanging over us in the form of budget problems and job difficulties that's seemed to get worse rather than better. Every time something else went wrong, though, Mike and I would look at each other, and one of us would say "Don't worry. God's got us covered."

Mike's even gone so far as to tell me that we're going to get a miracle, because we need it. Now, this faith part of things comes so much easier to him than me, and I have to admit, I've been just shaking my head a lot, trying not to bring him down with my "realist" side.

See...a lot of this involves bad timing. We've seen some stellar examples of Murphy's Law in the last month or two. From an unusual trend of business falling off at Mike's job during the busiest season of the year (he works on a base salary plus commission) to my sprained ankle in the middle of an empty parking lot, it's been damned impressive.

Yet, even as we've struggled with Caedyn's and Mike's shoes both beginning to fall apart and way past the need to replace, doctor's visits for me, meds not covered by our insurance, etc. ad nauseum, we keep looking at each other and saying, "God's got us covered."

Well, as I said, something amazing happened. We got that miracle. It came in the form of family members showing up at our door with food and money and words of encouragement. It's not a million dollars or anything, but it's enough to get us by until our next paycheck.

And if we're still struggling at that point, well...

God's got us covered. :)
